Sunday, April 01, 2018: Simple Ways to Make The Most of Easter

“For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 1:18)

“Whose fool are you?”

That’s the question LifePoint will be considering this Easter. If you’re planning to join us (8:00, 9:30, or 11:00AM), here are a few simple ways you can make the most of it:

(1) Attend our Good Friday service.

Join us this Friday, March 30th at 6:30pm for an evening of remembrance. We will focus on Christ’s crucifixion through singing, prayer, the Lord’s Supper, and listening to God’s Word. Child care will be available for kids 3 and under.

(2) Watch our video testimonies and share them on Facebook.

Last week, we began releasing short videos that feature testimonies from members of LifePoint. These videos coincide with that question we’ll be considering on Easter: “Whose fool are you?”

You can watch them on LifePoint’s Facebook page. (Scroll down until you see them.) If you’re not on Facebook, you can watch them here. After you’ve watched, share them so that others can hear about how Jesus transforms lives.

(3) Invite someone to join you on Easter.

Remember those cards that were lying on your chair this past Sunday? Conveniently, they have all the information you need to invite someone to come to church with you on Easter. If you forgot to take one, you can swing by the LifePoint facility during office hours and grab a few. There are plenty!

Whether you use the cards or not, seek opportunities to invite your unbelieving friends, family, and neighbors to enjoy Easter at LifePoint with you.

(4) Listen to what we’re singing.

Below you’ll see two set lists that include links to iTunes—one for Friday and one for Sunday. Along with those, I’ve shared some selected performance videos and a Spotify playlist. That gives you a few different ways to engage with the songs we’ll be singing together this weekend.

(5) Pray!

This is the most important thing you can do. Pray for God’s presence in our gatherings. Pray for those who are serving (KidLife teachers, ushers, worship team, hospitality team, etc.). Pray for Pastor Lane as he prepares his message. Pray, pray, pray!

LifePoint, prayer is the church’s first act of love, its first work of mission. Whether you’re listening to the songs, watching the videos or inviting someone to join you, seek the Lord, knowing that He wants to work powerfully through the prayers of His people.
